"Pit Crew" stage 1 I only have the line drawing done here. I work from photographs. This photo was taken on my Android phone at the American Royal Complex during the Junior National last summer	"Pit Crew" stage 2 I work from left to right since I'm right-handed. If I would work from right to left, my hand would smear the graphite. I have, at this point, decided that the cattle will be black in this drawing.

"Pit Crew" stage 5 I have about 8 hours in the drawing at this point. I've decided that this drawing is dedicated to all of those trend setters in the 80's and early 90's who fit in the stall when it wasn't cool...You know who you are!	"Pit Crew" stage 6 I have about 10 hours in the drawing now. The tan bark is really taxing...
"Pit Crew" stage 7 More Tan Bark...	"Pit Crew" stage 8 In art school, I was taught to work the whole drawing at once, because it would make your drawing more cohesive. I work from left to right, filling in all of the values at once ...I do come back on the drawing and darken the darks...
"Pit Crew" stage 9 I have about 15 hours invested in this drawing at this time. This is definitely the most detailed drawing that I have done. The plaid on the shirts, in my opinion, is the hardest part. A person can definitely tell this is my work because of the delicate folds in the cloth. I'm excited because I believe that I'm 1/2 way done!	"Pit Crew" stage 10 17 hours down on this drawing.
